Hey all! Below you will find the rough draft script to my next 8 page comic! I have an amazingly talented artist working on it. This story is a long running origin creation for a band of female space pirates. Enjoy!
K’rai
Page 1
Panel 1
K’rai is facing the readers. She is standing on overgrown earth. Foliage, trees, alien plants are all around her. The biggest threat is is the giant beast that stands before her. It’s back will be to us, but we will be able to see it is a formidable foe that would easily destroy K’rai.
Captain thought box: “Captain’s Log, Black Rose K’rai.”
Captain thought box: “I have never been one to believe in old sayings”
Captain thought box: “But when my latest crew member literally fell from the sky, I admit, I had to rethink a few things.”
Panel 2
We see the black rose’s ship with the door down and the roses coming out. They are being met by the male species of this planet. The vampire like men.
Captain thought box: “The op was supposed to be a quick one: dig up some old rocks, pack them up and leave.”
Page 2
Panel 1
The Rose’s Captain will be talking to the male of the planet. He will have a very angry look on his face. Motioning in a forceful way to the captain.
Captain thought box: “This planet was strange, they didn’t allow women on the surface. Long ago someone wrote the ancient law on a tree in the woods.”
Panel 2
K’rai is hovering in the air behind some trees as she watches the captain give the male a bribe.
Captain though box: “Luckily, men are all the same across the universe. You just need to know what they want, and suddenly, the rules don’t apply to you anymore.”
Panel 3
The captain and the roses are now past the guards. Captain looks over her shoulder at the still hovering K’rai that is trying to hide.
Panel 4
A little animation shows K’rai ducking behind cover. We are seeing this as we face the captain. The captain has a grin on her face, because she knows someone is watching.
Page 3
Panel 1
K’rai is flying high above the Rose’s and trying to keep her eye on them. Off of the panel someone will screech at her. Show a off panel speech bubble with a screech.
Panel 2
An older female of the species will start yelling at K’rai. They are flying high in the air. They speak in a screech like language, so we will have a text box at the bottom of the page, saying translated from that language. We will have the speech bubble font be different from regular font to show a slight difference.
Elder female: “K’rai! Are you trying to be exhiled!”
K’rai: “There are aliens on the surface! I think they are women, like us!”
Elder female: “Don’t mind yourself with that nonsense. You know you are not allowed to touch the surface!”
Panel 3
The elder female is flying away from K’rai as she follows her through the air, K’rai is looking back at the surface in sadness.
Elder Female: “Follow me, unless you want to bring shame to your name.”
Page 4
Panel 1
The captain is looking into the sky watching K’rai and the elder fly away, K’rai looking back sadly. Around the captain, the other Rose’s are setting up digging equipment next to a hovering bucket.
Captain thought box: “Raydarian Crystals were a hot commodity on the black market after Raydaria exploded when a meteor hit it.”
Panel 2
The Rose’s are standing around a large crater with a crystal impaled in it. Each one of them is smiling ear to ear.
Captain thought box: “Lucky for us, a few shards plummeted to the neighboring planet.”
Panel 3
Hard at work, the Ros’es are filling up the bucket with chunks of crystals that they are picking off of the larger shard. A giant shadow of a monster is going to cover the Rose’s as they are working.
Captain thought box: “As lucky as we thought we were…there was bad luck waiting for us.”
Panel 4
A quick snap shot of the shock and fear in the Captain’s eyes as she is looking up to see what is creating the shadow.
Captain thought box: “And boy was that bad luck ugly.”
Page 5
Here’s a nice big shot of the big ugly. The Rose’s are running toward the readers, behind them the giant monstrosity is angrily chasing them. The girls are pushing the bucket full of crystals and shooting behind them. The monster does not look like it belongs on the planet at all. He doesn’t have vampire features. He is a giant compared to the Rose’s. He will have an enormous roar coming from his mouth, in page 6 K’rai will hear it.
Page 6
Panel 1
K’rai is flying with the Elder when she hears the enormous roar. Her ears will perk up.
Captain thought box: “The men of the planet made it clear that they would offer no help to us.”
Panel 2
K’rai is flying toward the planet’s surface at an incredible speed. The elder is screaming at her trying to keep up
Captain thought box: “Luckily, someone high above cared about us.”
Panel 3
One of the rose’s trips and falls.
Panel 4
She turns in horror as the monsters giant foot is going to come crush her.
Panel 5
The monsters foot crushes into the earth, dust and rocks fly out. A blur is flying out from under the foot as K’rai is holding the Rose and flying away.

Panel 1
K’rai is hovering holding the rose by her shoulders with her feet, as the Rose is cheering arms shot up in the air, huge laughing smile on her face.
Captain thought box: “K’rai abandoned everything to save someone that she didn’t know.”
Panel 2
The monsters tail bashes K’rai and the rose out of the air.
Captain thought box: “It would only be fair for me to return the favor.”
Panel 3
K’rai collides into the surface of the planet. The rose hitting the ground hard next to her.
Captain thought box: “Everything froze as K’rai hit the planet’s surface. An ungodly choir of shrieks rang out in the air as the Elder caught up to the scene.”
Panel 4
The giant monster is no where to be seen. K’rai is dazed and laying on the ground as the males surround her their weapons pointed to her. The rose’s are gathered in the distance watching. The elder is flying above K’rai.
Captain thought box: “As if on command, the giant beast disappeared after the ear shattering screech.”
Captain thought box: “K’rai broke her people’s most important law to save one of my crew.”
Page 8
The roses are walking up the ramp to their ship. The captain has her arm around a sad and hurt K’rai. They are walking away from the floating Elder and a group of men.
Captain thought box: “K’rai was exiled that day, and for no other reason, but trying to save a Rose.”
Captain thought box: “With no place for her to go, and no place to call home, I welcomed her in to our family.”
Captain thought box: “That was the day K’rai became a Black Rose. End Captain’s log.
