Novel November 2021 (Prelude)

NOVEL NOVEMBER IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!

Good morning all,

I wanted to take some time out of Writetober 2021 to talk about next months challenge, Novel November. Now, for those that do not know what Novel November is, or maybe you forgot, the event is easy. Write a “novel” in the 30 days of November. I quote the term novel, because they can range between a drastic amount of words. Most people consider 30,000 words to be a good goal for novel november.

Because of Writetober, many of you have gotten used to seeing a post from me everyday, so I will be continuing that trend for Novel November. I am currently working on my main novel and have one on the back burner. I do like to keep all of my novel work to my Patreons only, BUT for Novel November 2021, I will be posting excerpts of my novel work.

But Kris, aren’t you just going to post old work from your novel that you’ve already written?

Nope! I currently write around 2,000 words a day, not all of those are primarily for my novel, but you guessed it, for November that will be my focus! You will be reading daily excerpts of brand new work on my novels.

Alright, well then Kris, what’s your word count goal for Novel Novemeber 2021?

60,000. Nothing else to that answer, it will be hard work, but I will be giving you all daily updates on the live word count.

You mentioned two novels, you’re posting both?

Yes! To prevent burnout, I wrote a “side project” with my novel. I will post what I work on daily and I will make sure to title them properly.
